Heroes Vacation Club Member Resources

Heroes Vacation Club is available to all current and former police officers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel. GETO customers who successfully registered and created accounts prior to December 31, 2015 are also eligible to use Heroes Vacation Club.

Space-A, also known as Space Available, is excess inventory that is set at a special price of $349.00* USD per week. Space-A is comprised of inventory that is unlikely to be used due to a high supply or low demand, or both. So rather than potentially let this excess inventory go unused, we provide it at an attractive discount to those who have or are currently protecting our country.

High-Demand represents a broader range of resort availability, including holidays, larger units and more sought-after destinations.

Short Stays, where available, are short stays (usually less than 7 nights).

Resort Vacation Certificates (RVCs) are travel certificates, which are redeemable for a 7-night stay at one of our affiliated resorts. RVC inventory is designed to be used for off-peak/offseason travel, although accommodations may be available throughout the year. Peak seasons can vary according to destination.

If you cannot find a vacation rental at your desired location and date, then it is likely unavailable at the time of the search. However, as the website is updated throughout the day, please check back to see if your desired date and location becomes available. While Space-A or High Demand vacations are comprised of one-week, seven-night increments, you don't have to stay seven nights. You can choose to check in a few days late or check out a few days early, depending on your preference. Simply contact the resort ahead of time to make the proper arrangements. At $349* USD per week, if you choose to stay only 4, 5, or 6 nights it can still be considered a fantastic deal!

In the event you require any special needs during your reservation, please contact us at 1-877-867-3639 prior to booking. We will contact resorts in your preferred destination and identify any resorts which can accommodate you.

Yes. As long as you are an eligible Heroes Vacation Club member, at least 21 years of age, and the reservation is in your name, your companions may accompany you provided that you do not exceed the maximum occupancy allowed for your reservation. Depending upon the resort, you may even be permitted to book multiple units at the same time and location so long as you are also traveling.

Units may become available anywhere from 3 to 360 days in advance of the scheduled check-in date. As soon as they become available, they can be reserved. Once a reservation is made, the unit is removed from the available inventory pool and that unit is reserved for your use. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so a location may be available in the morning, but gone by afternoon. If all available units have been reserved, please contact a Vacation Guide who will assist you with finding an alternative location or available date.

Space-A Cancellation:

• If a booking is cancelled 61 days or more prior to the scheduled check-in date, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 30% of the total reservation subtotal.
• If a booking is cancelled between 15 and 60 days prior to the scheduled check-in date, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the reservation subtotal.
• If a booking is cancelled 14 days or less before the scheduled check-in date, there will be no refund made.

High Demand Inventory and Short Stays:

• If a booking is cancelled 61 days or more prior to the scheduled check-in date, we will refund one hundred percent (100%) of the reservation grand total.
• If a booking is cancelled between 15 and 60 days prior to the scheduled check-in date, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the reservation subtotal.
• If a booking is cancelled 14 days or less before the scheduled check-in date, there will be no refund made.

Last Minute Vacation Stays:

• If a booking is cancelled 15 days or more days prior to the scheduled check-in date, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the reservation subtotal.
• If a booking is cancelled 14 days or less before the scheduled check-in date, there will be no refund made.

Resort Vacation Certificate (RVC):

• All sales of RVC reservations are final, non-cancelable and non-refundable.

On November 2, 2015, GETO was transitioned to Heroes Vacation Club, a website solely dedicated to serving first responders, including police officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians. If you had a GETO account, you may continue to book with Heroes Vacation Club regardless of your eligibility. To ease the transition, all current GETO account holders will be permitted to continue to use their online accounts regardless of your eligibility under the new guidelines. For those GETO customers who do not hold a GETO account, please create an online account prior to December 31, 2015 to access and book through Heroes Vacation Club.

Yes, as a valued member of GETO, we have transferred your account to Heroes Vacation Club. You may continue to transact as you normally would.

Yes, you will see the same account center information as you previously did with GETO.

Yes, you may cancel your GETO reservations, in accordance with the cancellation policy located here. For clarity, there have been no changes to the cancellation policy as a result of the transition.

Yes, you may use the Heroes Vacation Club RVC website to redeem your Government Employees Travel Opportunities RVC.
